Registered Nurse (RN) Kingsport Location

Job Summary The Registered Nurse (RN) provides skilled nursing care to patients in their homes, focusing on promoting health, preventing complications, and delivering compassionate end-of-life care when appropriate. This role involves assessing patient needs, developing care plans, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams, and supporting patients and families. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments in the home setting. Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans. Administer medications, treatments, and wound care as prescribed. Monitor patient condition and report changes to physicians or care team. Provide education to patients and families on disease management and care. Deliver compassionate hospice care focused on comfort and quality of life. Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, social workers, and aides. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulations. Ensure adherence to infection control and safety standards. Participate in on‑call rotation as required. Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-specific). Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Minimum 1–2 years of clinical nursing experience (home health or hospice preferred). Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Current CPR certification (BLS required; ACLS preferred). Skills & Competencies Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care. Knowledge of home health and hospice regulations (Medicare/Medicaid). Work Environment Patient homes and community settings. Frequent travel required within service area. Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and on‑call shifts. Physical Requirements Ability to lift/move patients (with assistance as needed). Prolonged standing, walking, and driving.
