Warehouse Team Lead

Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in proper staffing for all areas by sending employees home when necessary due to lack of work. Work with the Training & Inventory Coordinator to organize all training for workers (both existing and new hires) within the warehouse area.
• Oversees the movement of material throughout the plant to assure inventory accuracy.
• Directs and coordinates warehouse staff to supply parts and items for Production team.
• Work with their Manager on developing improvements to streamline warehouse inventory quantities, along with improving layout of warehouse that provides an efficient part pulling system.
• Orders and maintains all pallets and crates. Manage scrap reports, removal of inventory, and initiate the pickup of scrap.
• Performs misc. duties in the absence of the warehouse Supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to use a forklift or hand truck
• Can involve lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Interpersonal skills, team working skills and good communication skills.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years' experience in a Warehouse pick/pull environment required.
• Associates degree preferred.
