Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee the construction of new multifamily homes from site preparation through final completion. The Superintendent will be responsible for managing day-to-day field operations, coordinating subcontractors and vendors, maintaining construction schedules, and ensuring each home is built safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards.

The ideal candidate is an organized, hands-on construction professional who can manage multiple trades, identify problems before they become costly, and keep projects moving on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily construction activities for new home construction projects.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and field personnel.
• Review plans, specifications, scopes of work, and construction details.
• Maintain project schedules and ensure work is completed according to established timelines.
• Schedule inspections and coordinate with inspectors, municipalities, and other project stakeholders.
• Conduct regular jobsite inspections to monitor workmanship, progress, and quality.
• Ensure construction is completed in accordance with plans, building codes, and company standards.
• Identify deficiencies and coordinate corrections with subcontractors.
• Verify materials are delivered and available when needed.
• Coordinate sequencing of trades to prevent delays and rework.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite.
• Enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
• Track project progress and communicate schedule or construction issues to management.
• Review completed work prior to moving the project to the next phase.
• Assist with punch lists, final inspections, and home completion.
• Communicate professionally with homeowners, vendors, subcontractors, inspectors, and company management.
• Document jobsite conditions, progress, inspections, and changes as required.
• Troubleshoot construction issues and develop practical solutions in the field.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a residential construction superintendent , preferably with a new home builder.
• Strong understanding of the residential construction process from grading/sitework through final completion.
• Ability to read and interpret a full set of construction plans and specifications.
• Knowledge of residential building codes and construction standards.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing and scheduling.
• Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and trades.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with smartphones, email, and construction scheduling/documentation software.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• OSHA or other construction safety training is a plus.

Preferred Experience

Experience overseeing the construction of Multi-Family homes is strongly preferred. Candidates with experience managing framing, roofing, windows, MEP trades, drywall, cabinets, finish carpentry, flooring, painting, landscaping, and final punch work will be highly valued.
