About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience with a 2:1 patient-to-nurse ratio License: Required state RN license Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Prior charge experience preferred - Experience with a 2:1 patient ratio - Experience in charting systems preferred - Previous community hospital experience preferred - Previous LTAC experience preferred - Previous Trauma Level I or II experience preferred Description: Nurses will work in a medical-surgical intensive care unit. The position requires the ability to float to other facilities as needed. Daily patient ratios are 2:1. Nurses will be responsible for a variety of critical care tasks. Key skills include managing ventilated patients, administering blood products, and monitoring central lines. Candidates should possess knowledge of clinical protocols for acute and chronic conditions. The role involves collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, including physical therapy and respiratory services. Nurses should be prepared to handle complex patient care and are expected to maintain high standards of infection prevention. Candidates must have experience in interpreting arterial blood gases and managing multiple organ failure. Flexibility in scheduling is necessary with weekend coverage required.
