Part-Time Cook OpportunityRaintree Golf and Event Center, located in Uniontown, OH, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Cook! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.Role Type: Seasonal (Position will last 6 months or less)General Purpose: Prepares various food products for restaurant and banquet operations for guest consumption and enjoyment. This position requires adherence to all procedural guidelines established by the Food Service and Safety Department.Essential Duties:Assists the Chef/Kitchen Manager in preparing meals for all food outletsMaintains kitchen cleanliness and sanitation standardsFollows food safety procedures and guidelinesSupports food preparation and other kitchen tasks as neededPrepares sufficient quantities of food products in accordance with production plans or forecasted needsUtilizes whole food products while minimizing wasteMaintains overall cleanliness and sanitation standards in assigned areasAlerts the Chef or supervisor of any equipment breakdowns, food overages, or shortages in a timely mannerRequisitions inventory and receives supplies as necessary for daily productionEnsures proper storage of food items, including wrapping, dating, and rotating productsIncorporates safe work practices in job performanceMaintains regular and reliable attendancePerforms other duties as requiredEducation/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Physical Demands: Frequently stands, uses hands, talks, hears, tastes, and smells. Regularly walks and reaches with hands and arms. Occasionally sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls. Regularly lifts up to 50 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 100 pounds.Environment/Noise: Regularly works in extreme heat (non-weather) and near moving mechanical parts. Occasionally works in extreme cold (non-weather), wet or humid conditions (non-weather), near toxic or caustic chemicals, and in outdoor weather conditions.
