Civil Design Engineer
A growing engineering firm is seeking a Civil Design Engineer to support land and site development projects from concept through completion. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong civil engineer looking to work on a variety of development projects and grow their career.
Responsibilities
- Design land development and site improvement projects, including grading, utilities, stormwater, drainage, erosion control, earthwork, and roadway design
- Develop and modify Civil 3D models, plans, profiles, sections, and construction documents
- Prepare drainage reports, SWPPP documentation, calculations, and construction details
- Prepare permit applications and supporting exhibits for local and state agencies
- Coordinate with clients, municipalities, and multidisciplinary project teams
- Respond to agency comments and help move projects through the permitting process
- Maintain project quality, schedules, and budgets
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field preferred
- 3+ years of civil/site/land development design experience
- Strong proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D and/or AutoCAD
- Knowledge of grading, stormwater management, utilities, earthwork, roadway geometry, and erosion & sediment control
- Familiarity with local and state codes and permitting requirements
- EIT or PE preferred , with support available for candidates pursuing licensure
