Senior HR Generalist

POSITION SUMMARY:The Senior HR Generalist will have an emphasis on Associate Relations and will serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and Associates by providing guidance on associate relations matters, workplace investigations, performance management, policy interpretation, and employment practices. This role helps maintain a positive, compliant, and high-performing work environment while supporting key HR operational functions, including recruiting, payroll review, leave administration, and HR compliance. The position works closely with leaders across the organization, with a particular focus on complex associate relations matters, coaching conversations, and corrective action processes.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Partnership & Relationship ManagementServe as a trusted advisor to leaders and Associates by providing responsive, practical, and solutions-oriented Human Resources guidance and issue resolution.Partner with and coach leaders on associate relations matters, change management, workplace concerns, performance management, conflict resolution, communication, accountability, and employment practices.Partner with leaders to develop and maintain position descriptions that accurately reflect business needs, essential functions, qualifications, responsibilities, reporting relationships, and position design.Provide consultation, guidance, and constructive challenge to leaders to promote consistent, values-based decisions that support a positive Associate experience, mitigate organizational risk, and advance Landmark's strategic objectives.Risk Management & ComplianceEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and Bank policies.Conduct workplace investigations, evaluate evidence, document findings, and recommend appropriate actions based on facts, policy, risk, and established practices.Review corrective actions, performance improvement plans, and employment decisions for consistency, fairness, documentation quality, and potential risk.Assist with leave administration, workplace accommodations, and other employment-related processes to support compliance requirements.Handle sensitive Associate, leadership, compensation, payroll, medical, and business information with discretion, sound judgment, and appropriate safeguards while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with privacy and recordkeeping requirements.Internal Partner Support & ServiceSupport recruiting activities, including candidate screening, interview coordination, and offer preparation.Support payroll review activities by validating transactions, changes, and supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance.Data, Reporting & AnalyticsMaintain accurate Human Resources records, documentation, and case management files.Analyze workforce, recruiting, turnover, leave, corrective action, and associate relations data to identify trends and inform decision-making.Prepare reports, dashboards, and summaries to support Human Resources initiatives and leadership decision-making.Quality Assurance & Control TestingMaintain and review Human Resources records, case management files, corrective actions, investigation files, payroll changes, and personnel documentation for completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.Evaluate and align documentation and employment actions for consistency with Bank policies, position descriptions, performance expectations, established procedures, and Landmark's cultural values.Operational ExcellenceManage competing priorities with strong execution, attention to detail, follow-through, accountability, and timely service.Identify and implement process improvements that strengthen the Associate experience, operational efficiency, documentation quality, compliance, consistency, and Human Resources service delivery.Maintain reliable and predictable onsite attendance to meet business needs and provide responsive support to leaders and Associates.Culture & ValuesDemonstrate respect for others by fostering an inclusive, collaborative, and professional work environment.Embrace curiosity by seeking to learn, improve, and identify opportunities for growth and innovation.Act with integrity by maintaining accountability, following policies and procedures, and doing what is right for customers, colleagues, and the Bank.Promote authenticity through honest and forthright communication as well as transparency.Strengthen unity by working cooperatively across teams, supporting shared goals, and contributing to a positive culture.COMPETENCIES:Time & Priority ManagementChange AgilityConsultation & InfluenceCollaboration & PartnershipCritical ThinkingFlexibility & DependabilityProfessionalism & JudgementThoroughness & Detail OrientationCommunication Skills; both verbal and writtenDocumentation & Record ManagementPEOPLE LEADER RESPONSIBILITIES:This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities. However, the role is expected to influence leaders and business partners through coaching, consultation, training, and recommendations related to associate relations, performance management, employment practices, compliance, and Human Resources policies and procedures.WORK ENVIRONMENT:This position operates in a professional office environment and regularly uses computers, business systems, office equipment, and other resources necessary to perform the essential functions of the position. The role requires collaboration and interaction with leaders, Associates, vendors, business partners, and other stakeholders and involves access to confidential information, business records, and Bank systems necessary to perform the role.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this position. The Associate regularly performs work in a seated position and uses a computer and other standard office equipment. The position may also require occasional standing, walking, reaching, handling objects or materials, communicating with others, and moving items weighing up to 10 pounds. The Associate must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:Days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday. Associates are expected to work a regular full-time schedule, with flexibility in start and end times between the hours of 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM, consistent with business and associate needs. This position may occasionally require additional hours, including evenings or weekends.TRAVEL:This position requires local and regional travel to Landmark locations for investigations, meetings, training, and Associate or leader support. Limited overnight stays may be required.POSITION REQUIREMENTS:Experience:Five or more years of progressive Human Resources experience, including meaningful responsibility for associate relations and workplace investigations preferred.Demonstrated experience conducting workplace investigations, evaluating information, documenting findings, exercising sound judgment, and making well-supported recommendations.Experience coaching leaders on change management, performance management, corrective action, conflict resolution, employee relations matters, and difficult workplace conversations.Proficiency in employment laws and Human Resources compliance requirements, including FMLA, ADA, anti-discrimination, anti-harassment, and retaliation considerations.Multi-location, retail, banking, financial services, or similarly regulated industry experience preferred.Strong written and verbal communication, relationship-building, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently manage competing priorities and maintain confidentiality.Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, Human Resources information systems, and other business applications; experience supporting recruiting, leave administration, payroll review, HR audits, or other HR operations preferred.Education:Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant work experience may be considered.SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
