About the Position
Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (06:30 - 19:00) Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Valid State License required Certifications: BLS, CNOR or CST preferred Must-Have: Experience in surgical procedures including, but not limited to: - ALIF (Anterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion) - Anterior cervical fusion - Appendectomy - Arthroscopy - Cataract extraction/implant - Cervical fusions - Cholecystectomy - Colon resection - Colorectal robotic surgery - Craniotomy - Eye trauma - Gastrointestinal robotic surgery - Glaucoma surgery - Gynecologic robotic surgery - Hernia repair (inguinal/umbilical) - Kyphoplasty - Laminectomy/discectomy - Laparoscopic assisted procedures - Lumbar fusion - Neurological robotic surgery - Orthopedic robotic surgery - Otolaryngologic robotic surgery - Thyroidectomy (partial/total) - TORS (TransOral Robotic Surgery) - Total joint replacement - Trauma - Urologic robotic surgery - Whipple - XLIF (Extreme Lateral Interbody Fusion) Description: This position is for an Operating Room Registered Nurse. The nurse will work in a fast-paced operating room environment. The role involves supporting surgical teams and ensuring patient safety. The candidate will be responsible for patient assessments and developing nursing care plans. They will assist with surgical procedures and maintain sterile conditions in the operating room. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the surgical team are essential. Experience in a Trauma Level 1 environment is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates should be open to learning new skills as needed.
