Unit Coordinator

Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital seeks an Unit Coordinator for their Emergency department responsible forfacilitating care of patients by providing clerical support, coordinating activities, and communicating effectively. Responsible for completion of unit competency assessments, and if appropriate, annual education review, Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and renewal of license by maintaining continuing education units as required by hospital policy. QUALIFICATIONS: All job qualifications listed indicate the minimum level necessary to perform this job proficiently. Technical Requirements: Minimum: Uses basic medical terminology correctly and uses correct grammar and spelling. Years of Related Work Experience: Minimum:Completion of unit secretary class or equivalent work experience, previous clerical experience, knowledge of office systems and practices, and work experience with computers. Eligible employees may also receive additional forms of compensation, including shift differentials, on-call pay, incentive pay, and bonus opportunities, where applicable. Manager and above positions may participate in Cottage Health’s annual management incentive program. Physician compensation is determined based upon specialty and may include bonus potential.
