POSITION OVERVIEW

Mathis Consultants is recruiting a Fellowship-Trained Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon for an established and growing independent orthopedic practice in Nashville, Tennessee.

This is an excellent opportunity for an orthopedic trauma surgeon seeking more than simply another employed physician position. The organization is actively expanding its orthopedic services and physician team and is seeking a surgeon interested in establishing a long-term practice in the Nashville market while contributing to the continued growth of the organization.

The incoming surgeon will provide orthopedic trauma and hospital coverage while helping expand the group's trauma capabilities and develop a more sustainable call structure.

For a physician interested in long-term organizational involvement, there may also be opportunities to discuss future partnership and ownership as the practice continues to grow.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon will:

• Evaluate and manage acute, complex, and traumatic orthopedic injuries
• Perform operative treatment of orthopedic trauma cases
• Provide orthopedic trauma care and hospital coverage
• Participate in trauma and orthopedic call coverage
• Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, advanced practice providers, and other members of the clinical team
• Assist with strengthening and expanding the organization's orthopedic trauma program
• Contribute to development of a sustainable physician call structure
• Participate in the continued growth of the orthopedic practice

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates must have:

• MD or DO degree
• Completion of an accredited Orthopedic Surgery residency
• Fellowship training in Orthopedic Trauma
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
• Experience evaluating and managing complex orthopedic trauma cases
• Ability and willingness to participate in hospital and call coverage
• Strong clinical, surgical, and collaborative skills

Candidates should also have an interest in establishing a long-term practice in the Nashville area and contributing to a growing physician-led organization.
