About the Position

Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 16:30) Experience: Minimum of 1 year in acute care License: Required Ohio license Certifications: ARRT R, BLS Must-Have: - Epic charting experience - Experience in catheter/drain exchange - Central Venous Access (non-Tunneled/PICC lines) - Chest Tube Placement - Embolization procedures Description: Schedule is Monday to Friday. Call is required for 1 week day call and Q4W Friday from 16:00 to Monday 07:00. Average daily census is 25 patients. There are 3 rooms and 8 beds in the unit. Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Experience with equipment maintenance and operation is necessary. Required procedures include chest tube placement, IVC filter placement and removal, stent placement, thoracentesis, catheter/drain exchange, and embolization. Experience with TIPS (Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt) and central venous access/port placement is required. The ability to maintain a sterile field and follow infection control protocols is essential. Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, social services, and rapid response teams. Isolation precautions and proper utilization of code teams are necessary for this role. Candidates must comply with required vaccinations for COVID-19 and flu. Floating to other units may be expected based on facility needs. Candidates must have references from recent experience. Travel experience is preferred but not required. This position accepts first-time travelers.
