Warehouse Operations Manager

Salary Range: $75,000.00 To $85,000.00 Annually Summary The Operations Manager reports to the LOGISTEED-America, Inc. Director of Operations. This position requires excellent leadership skills along with the ability to monitor workflow in a fast-paced distribution operation, to oversee coaching and counseling of supervisors, and associates and have the ability to mentor and lead a diverse team to success. Additionally, including but not limited to: Must be able to communicate and interact with Director of Operations, team members and Customers in a productive and professional manner Lead daily operations team resulting in successful results that are reflected in established key performance indicators (KPIs). Essential Functions Operations Long-term planning to create initiatives that further the company’s overall goals Coordinating different teams to foster exchange of ideas and provide cross-team learning opportunities to ensure necessary operational results Analyze and improve organizational process and workflow, employee and space requirements, and equipment layout; implement changes Auditing all operations to ensure processes are followed according to standard work sheet Ensuring associates have appropriate tools to perform their assigned duties Managing assigned area to meet manpower requirements, equipment maintenance, work flow prioritization and daily scheduling Meeting established standard operating procedures and productivity goals, safety and quality standards Responsible for all department managers and supervisors, with review/approval responsibility for all operations employees Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans; implement production, productivity, quality, customer-service standards; resolve problems; complete audits; identify trends Develop operations systems by determining product handling storage requirements; develop, implement, enforce, evaluate policies and procedures; develop processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, utilization of inventory management systems including WMS, Gemba Management, shipping Communicate customer issues with operations team; devise ways of improving the customer experience including resolving problems and complaints Work closely with GM management team to set, communicate, and/or implement policies, procedures, systems; follow through with implementation via all conduits Serve as primary point of contact when there is customer issues related to equipment, quality, customer service, or accidents/mishaps on-site Manage relationships with key operations vendors General knowledge of Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) operations and compliance requirements, with the ability to support and respond to routine FTZ-related matters. Communications Communicating effectively betweenDirector of Operations and their team. Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Assist in the communicating of operating policies and/or issues at department meetings Provide professional and responsive customer service to internal and external customers. Provide regular operational reports and participate in customer meetings to review performance, discuss issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Review work areas and recommend corrective actions and process improvements. Monitor the pre-use inspections and basic operator maintenance of material-handling equipment. Support management in maintaining warehouse and facility security. Manage and oversee the safe loading, unloading, and movement of heavy equipment and materials using large-capacity forklifts in compliance with safety standards. Finance Identifying financial improvements and cost savings, and implementing changes to achieve them Conducting and tracking assigned asset management, budgeting, forecasting of assets and materials, managing company assets, ensuring regulatory compliance for fixed and tangible assets Training Sustain job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities Complete assigned training in a timely manner Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and efficiency Support internal and external stakeholders Work closely with the HR Department concerning recruitment, hiring, corrective action process and annual performance review process Working closely with customers, colleagues and third parties to ensure smooth operation to meet deadlines Achieve the successful deepening of relationships with key accounts, and extend customer relationships into new segments Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, retention, and account growth. Non -Essential Functions Perform other duties as assigned Strategic Thinking Problem Solving/Analysis Project Management Organized / ability to prioritize Personal Effectiveness/Credibility Multi-tasking with conflicting priorities Supervisory Responsibility Responsible for supervision of warehouse operations supervisors and associates Preferred Qualifications, Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities and Working Conditions Previous Work Experience Minimum of 5 years fast-paced logistics industry or manufacturing environment experience, mining or construction equipment industry experience preferred. 3 years supervisor experience Warehouse/Distribution/Manufacturing/Logistics work experience Education and Certifications High School diploma or general education degree (GED) Equivalent work experience will be considered Experience Requirements and Preferences Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred. WORK ENVIRONMENT

Eighty-five percent of work time may be spent in various warehouse or other locations where the environment is not climate controlled (hot and cold seasonally).
