The Role
- Maintain configuration of the electronic recordkeeping system (Veryon and successors) to include user access rights and system reports.
- Provide training to new and current employees on electronic recordkeeping system usage, navigation and new functionality as applicable to trainees' job functions.
- Manage the company tool program, including tool inventory control, checkout procedures, tracking of tools issued to personnel or sent on the road, and overall accountability of company-owned tools.
- Oversee the calibrated tool program, ensuring all tools and test equipment are properly calibrated, records are maintained, and out-of-tolerance conditions are quarantined, investigated and resolved.
- Oversee the contracted APU and engine fleet programs.
- Develop, track, and report fleet metrics and reliability data.
- Ownership of the Approved Vendor List (AVL) with timely, accurate updates and control of users' access rights.
- Assist the Quality Manager with paperwork audits, internal compliance monitoring, documentation reviews, and related quality assurance activities.
- Help create, revise, and maintain Maintenance Control forms and other quality-related forms and procedures to ensure accuracy, usability, and regulatory compliance.
- Support root cause analysis, trend monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives as directed by the Quality Manager.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support the Quality Assurance department.
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 15% of the time.
- Trained in Audit, Risk Assessment, Root Cause Analysis, Corrective Action, and Human Factors.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in data analysis and comprehension, analytical thinking, and critical thinking.
- Strong knowledge of software including, but not limited to, Microsoft Windows Office Suite/Outlook Word, Excel, PowerPoint and be able to utilize the Internet.
- Ability to act as the subject matter expert on functionality of, and integrations with, the electronic recordkeeping system for aircraft maintenance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A valid FAA Mechanics Certificate with both airframe and powerplant ratings is preferred but not required.
- Maintain safety sensitive employee status in the company's FAA-approved Drug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Program.
- Ability to sit, stand, bend or kneel for extended periods of time.
