Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role includes providing direct patient care within the scope of practice and directing and guiding patient/family teaching, as well as the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Telemetry Unit. The RN is directly accountable for the care given to assigned patients and must effectively communicate with physicians regarding changes in patient clinical conditions, cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptomatology.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe and effective patient care.
• Utilize the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and nursing personnel activities.
• Maintain standards of care in the Telemetry Unit.
• Communicate effectively with physicians about changes in patient conditions.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and response to treatment.

Required Experience

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Experience in Ventilator Management preferred.
• Experience using EPIC EMR is required.

Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification.
• ACLS Certification.
• COVID vaccination/boosters preferred.
