Associate Veterinarian

Annual salary ~$220-250k (Base salary + Production bonus) This Associate Veterinarian role is for someone who is looking to join an incredibly supportive and growing clinic. They are a general practice with emergency room capabilities and are hiring 2 additional Associate Veterinarians (open to full time or part time availability). Responsibilities Perform comprehensive physical exams and develop diagnostic and treatment plans Diagnose and manage a variety of medical conditions in animals Utilize veterinary terminology accurately to communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and instructions to animal owners. Perform soft tissue surgery and dental procedures (mentorship available if needed) Interpret diagnostic imaging and laboratory results Provide client education with clarity, empathy, and confidence Collaborate closely with veterinary technicians and team members Maintain accurate and thorough medical records Build strong, lasting relationships with clients and their pets Deliver high-quality care in both routine and urgent care scenarios Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree Active New Jersey veterinary license (or ability to obtain) 3-10 years of veterinary critical care practices Proven experience in veterinary emergency situations requires immediate attention. Strong animal handling skills, including dog handling and general pet care practices. Familiarity with veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques. Proven experience with animal catheterization, laboratory procedures, and maintaining sterile environments. Laboratory experience related to diagnostic testing or sample analysis.
