Process Engineer/Manufacturing Engineer

Becton Dickinson seeks a Process Engineer to support manufacturing operations and lead continuous improvement initiatives at its Sumter facility. The role focuses on process optimization, equipment reliability, capital project execution, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance safety, quality, delivery, cost, and operational performance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary engineering resource for assigned manufacturing lines and troubleshooting
• Lead process improvement initiatives to optimize OEE, throughput, yield, and labor efficiency
• Design and implement equipment modifications and automation enhancements
• Support capital projects from concept through commissioning and startup
• Mentor maintenance and operations teams on technical capabilities and problem-solving

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Experience with automated manufacturing equipment and PLC-based control systems
• Proficiency in CAD software and data analytics tools
• Knowledge of process capability analysis and statistical improvement methodologies
• Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Experience with capital project execution and equipment validation
