Histology Associate

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Histology Associate for a contract assignment with one of our premier pharmaceutical clients in Tucson, AZ.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare tissue samples for microscopic examination
• Operate and maintain histology laboratory equipment
• Ensure quality control and compliance with laboratory standards
• Assist pathologists with specimen analysis and embedding tissue's while standing throughout the working hours
• Follow safety protocols and regulatory guidelines

Required Skills:

• Highschool diploma or GED is required
• 0–5 years of experience
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication abilities
• Knowledge of industry best practices
• Well suited candidates are quick learners and self-starters

Preferred Skills:

• Histotechnician or Histotechnologist certification
• Previous lab experience preferred
• Certification in histotechnology preferred
