Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sandblaster to join our team in Louisville, KY, 40219. As a Sandblaster, you will play a crucial role in preparing surfaces for finishing by removing rust, paint, and other contaminants. If you have a passion for precision and a commitment to quality, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities- Operate sandblasting equipment to clean and prepare surfaces for painting or coating.
- Inspect surfaces before and after sandblasting to ensure quality standards are met.
- Mix and apply abrasive materials according to specifications.
- Maintain and troubleshoot sandblasting equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
- Document work performed and report any issues to the supervisor.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical training is a plus.
- Proven experience as a sandblaster or in a similar role.
- Familiarity with various sandblasting techniques and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in sandblasting.
