What You’ll Do Provide comprehensive family medicine care, including diagnosis, treatment, and preventive health services Deliver high-quality patient care in a multidisciplinary clinic setting Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with facility expectations Follow infection control protocols and uphold patient safety standards Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives as required Support team collaboration and training activities to help strengthen care delivery Contribute to an environment that values confidentiality and professional conduct What You Need Required MD or DO from an accredited U.S. or Canadian medical school At least 1 year of recent family practice experience within the last 2 years Board certification in Family Practice by the American Board of Family Practice Current, unrestricted medical license DEA certification BLS (Basic Life Support) certification U.S. citizenship Ability to perform full scope family medicine services Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Proficiency in clinical documentation and infection control adherence Preferred Experience working in military or federal healthcare settings Additional certifications in emergency medicine or specialized areas of family practice Bilingual abilities (or additional language skills) Experience teaching or supervising medical staff and students Graduate from an accredited medical school About the Assignment This part-time Family Practice Physician role supports the military community through Naval Medical Center Portsmouth and affiliated Branch Health Clinic and Tricare Prime clinic locations in the Portsmouth/area.
