First Article Inspector

1st Article Inspector 2nd Shift
We're looking for a detail-oriented 1st Article Inspector to join our quality team on 2nd shift. In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring high-precision products meet strict customer and industry standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You'll Do:
- Perform first article inspections and follow detailed manufacturing plans and inspection procedures
- Conduct receiving inspections using mechanical and electrical instruments, CMM, functional gauges, and test fixtures
- Use sampling plans to verify product acceptance according to customer specifications
- Identify, document, and segregate nonconforming materials
- Record inspection data, variable test results, and SPC information in our computer systems
- Review product history for trends and perform detailed analysis
- Prepare and maintain accurate quality documentation
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to support quality goals
What You Bring:
- 13 years of inspection experience in a manufacturing environment (required)
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and inspection procedures
- Hands-on experience with standard inspection tools, CMM, and gauges
- Solid understanding of SPC, workmanship standards, and basic GD&T
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, heat treat, plating, welding, etc.)
- Good math, computer, and organizational skills
- High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
- Mechanical inspection experience with semiconductor or aerospace products/assemblies
Schedule & Compensation:
- 2nd Shift: MondayFriday, 3:30 PM 2:00 AM
- Pay: $25$30 per hour + 8% shift differential
- Competitive pay based on experience
Physical Requirements:
- Eyesight correctable to 20/25
- Must be able to pass a color blindness test
