Adjunct Communication Studies Instructor Lecture

Responsibilities Instruct students in the assigned discipline. Assignments may include teaching courses during the day, evening, online courses, and/or off‑campus sites. Qualifications Master's degree in speech, speech broadcasting, telecommunications, rhetoric, communications, communication studies, speech communication, or organizational communication OR Bachelor's degree in any of the above AND Master's in drama/theater arts, mass communication, or English. No Antelope Valley College Equivalency. Sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students (tit. 5 § 53024.1). Application Requirements Application Current resume Letter of intent that addresses minimum and desirable qualifications. Scanned copy of official transcripts with required degree(s). Foreign transcripts and degrees must have official certification of equivalency to U.S. transcripts and degrees by a certified U.S. review service and identify graduate level coursework. Evaluation service member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Service (NACES) is acceptable. Two (2) current letters of professional reference signed and dated within the last year. Travel expenses for pre‑employment interviews and employment processing will not be authorized. Visa Does not sponsor employment visas. Does not participate in E‑Verify. Does not complete documentation related to STEM OPT or other F‑1 visa programs.
