About this position The Teller is the face of LMCU, responsible for creating a warm and welcoming member experience while accurately processing a high volume of transactions. This position requires a strong focus on service excellence, member retention, and promoting LMCU’s products and services to help all members achieve their financial goals. Tellers serve as the first line of defense to mitigate fraud and protect members. They provide exceptional service, maintain accuracy in transactions, and drive growth through their knowledge of LMCU products and services. What you’ll do – Responsibilities Provide a positive member experience, promote retention through proactive engagement, build trusting relationships, identify member needs, and offer guidance on products and services. Resolve conflicts and de‑escalate adverse situations, ensuring positive outcomes. Accurately perform teller transactions (deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, check cashing, check ordering, wire requests) and balance a cash drawer daily. Demonstrate risk‑management practices, fraud prevention, robbery procedures, and compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Adhere to core values and security protocols to ensure safety for members and employees. Apply in‑depth knowledge of LMCU products and services, present solutions through consultative conversations, identify referral opportunities, and contribute to branch goals. Continuously improve knowledge of products, services, policies, systems, and digital platforms. Stay current on all branch systems, operations, and technology for accurate and efficient service. What you’ll bring – Qualifications One to three years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience. Previous cash‑handling experience and knowledge of financial products and services preferred. High school diploma or equivalent (required); some college coursework or banking experience is a plus.
