Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct intake assessments and screenings to identify the mental health needs of students, ensuring that tailored treatment plans are developed to address their specific concerns.

• Provide short-term individual counseling sessions to students facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, and family dynamics, employing evidence-based practices and brief therapy methodologies.

• Facilitate therapy groups and workshops that cover relevant topics, such as stress management, healthy relationships, and coping strategies, to promote comprehensive student development.

• Collaborate with campus stakeholders, including academic advisors and student organizations, to enhance support systems for students and to create a holistic approach to student wellness.

• Engage in outreach activities that promote mental health awareness among students, including organizing wellness events and contributing to educational campaigns.

• Maintain accurate, confidential, and organized client records according to ethical and legal standards, ensuring continuous monitoring of treatment effectiveness.

You will primarily work with a diverse population of students, each facing unique challenges during their academic journey. Qualifications\n

• Active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.

• Demonstrated knowledge of the mental health issues commonly faced by college students, along with an understanding of best practices within a university counseling environment.

• Familiarity with evidence-based psychotherapy approaches suitable for brief therapy sessions in a university setting.
