Mental Health Counselor Masters - Kodiak School Program at Providence summary: The Mental Health Counselor at Providence Kodiak Island Counseling Center provides comprehensive therapy services to individuals, families, and groups in a school-based setting. This role is dedicated to supporting the mental health of children, adolescents, and adults within the Kodiak School Program, offering full-time support during the academic year. With a focus on patient-centered care, the counselor engages in collaborative practices to empower vulnerable populations in their mental health journeys. Under general supervision this position provides quality individual, group, family and marital therapy with children, adolescents and adults. Providence Valdez Behavioral Health is a community based behavioral health service, which provides a variety of outpatient treatment services to assist adults, children and families. The School program positions are based on a 10-months working schedule in the local Kodiak school district from August to May, and will have June and July months off. Position hours are full time, 1.0 FTE, Variable shift, Monday-Friday, standard school hours, 40 hours per week. $10,000 Hiring Bonus for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment. Relocation Assistance available for eligible hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment. Required Qualifications: Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Education or related Behavioral Health Field to obtain licensure 1 year of Counseling Preferred Qualifications: Substance Abuse Professional Certification (e.g., CDC I or II, National Master Addiction Counselor) within 1 year of hire Why Join Providence? Pay Range: $38.67 - $61.22 The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
