Work Environment

This position is onsite at a collaborative hospital facility, where a multidisciplinary approach to patient care is embraced. You will work closely with a team of dedicated professionals, including licensed Physical Therapists, nurses, and medical staff, ensuring optimal and comprehensive care. The work schedule is from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a consistent routine that promotes work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Physical Therapists in developing and implementing tailored treatment plans that fit the specific needs of each patient.
• Provide hands-on therapy, including therapeutic exercises and manual therapy techniques, to foster recovery and improve patient mobility.
• Monitor and track patient progress meticulously, documenting observations and outcomes in electronic health records to facilitate effective communication and care adjustments.
• Educate patients on proper exercise methodologies, emphasizing self-management strategies and recovery techniques that they can practice at home.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to integrate holistic approaches to pain management and rehabilitation, assuring every aspect of patient care is covered.
• Maintain precise and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist Assistant in our orthopedic unit, you will work predominantly with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, musculoskeletal injuries, and those battling chronic pain. Our diverse clientele ranges from athletes to elderly patients, each requiring specialized care tailored to their individual circumstances.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or an equivalent field is mandatory.
• A currently active state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) is required to practice.
• A minimum of two years of experience in orthopedic settings is essential to ensure proficiency in treating this patient population.
• Strong foundational knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic exercise protocols is critical to success in this role.

Compensation and Benefits
