*Responsibilities*

* Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures by preparing equipment and monitoring patient status.
* Perform animal restraint and handling using humane techniques to ensure safety for both animals and staff.
* Conduct laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostic procedures to support accurate diagnoses.
* Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures like animal catheterization and wound management to prevent infections.
* Manage pet care routines including grooming, feeding, and administering medications as directed.
* Support dental procedures by with cleaning, and polishing
* Operate radiography equipment to take X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed.
* Maintain detailed medical records, update patient charts with treatment plans, and document all procedures accurately.
* Contribute to team efforts by participating in ongoing training related to veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and advanced technical skills like laboratory testing or equine care.

*Qualifications*

* Veterinary technician certification
* Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and veterinary terminology to perform technical tasks confidently.
* Ability to handle animals safely using restraint techniques suitable for different species.
* Excellent communication skills for interacting with pet owners and team members effectively.
* Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
* Knowledge of dental terminology relevant to veterinary dentistry is a plus.

Pay: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour
