Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position requiring a minimum of 2 years of RN experience, Epic proficiency, and STEMI call availability.

Details

• Hospital-based Cath Lab setting
• Monday through Friday schedule with late shifts required a few times per month
• 5x8-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• STEMI call required — approximately one week of call per 13-week contract, including 24-hour call shifts on Saturdays and Sundays, as well as half-night call shifts from 5:30 PM–9:00 PM and full overnight shifts from 5:30 PM–7:00 AM
• Must be prepared to arrive on-site and be ready to work within 30 minutes of STEMI activation
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• Procedures include Orbital atherectomy, Rotational atherectomy, IABP, Impella, OTC, ECMO, flow wire, manifold, sheath pulling, and other Cath Lab adjuncts
• EMR: Epic (CUPID module) and Xper — proficiency required to independently monitor cases

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Cath Lab experience required with proficiency in advanced adjunctive procedures and devices (Orbital/Rotational atherectomy, IABP, Impella, ECMO, etc.)
• Epic (CUPID module) experience required; Xper experience required for case monitoring
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
• Two professional supervisor references from the past 2 years required for consideration
• Valid driver's license and copies of certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• All RNs must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance — two attempts are allowed; study materials are not provided by the facility, so candidates should prepare in advance
• Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
• 13-week contract
