- Build strong working relationships across the CCWD with Engineering, Maintenance, Water Quality, Finance, Human Resources, Purchasing, Executive Administration, and external agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide executive-level administrative support to the Water Operations Manager and leadership team.
- Coordinate calendars, meetings, agendas, presentations, and division communications.
- Prepare, edit, and coordinate reports, Board materials, correspondence, presentations, and other professional documents.
- Coordinate and compile operational reports and performance metrics, assist with employee certification and training tracking, maintain regulatory and compliance records, and support division reporting requirements along with any special projects.
- Coordinate recruitment activities, onboarding, employee recognition programs, and other employee support activities.
- Track action items and ensure timely completion of assignments across multiple functional groups.
- Serve as a liaison between Water Operations and other District departments, outside agencies, vendors, and consultants.
- Maintain electronic records, databases, and department filing systems while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with records retention requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes and leverage technology to increase efficiency and support continuous improvement.

- Employees hired on or after January 1, 2016, are subject to a 10-year District service vesting requirement to qualify for fully paid retiree medical upon direct retirement from CCWD
- The CCWD contracts with California Public Employees' Retirement System for medical benefits
- 12 paid holidays annually
- 56 hours of paid administrative leave per year in lieu of compensatory time off for FLSA-exempt classifications
- FLSA non-exempt classifications, such as Management Assistant positions, do not receive administrative leave
- 40 hours of vacation credit upon hire
- Vacation accrual of 10 days during the first year, increasing to 15 days per year beginning in year two, with additional accrual increases thereafter
- 96 hours of sick leave accrued annually
- Part-time benefits are prorated in accordance with the applicable Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)
- Comprehensive Wellness Program, including a monthly $50 wellness stipend
