Client Support Coordinator – AmeriCorps Position Type: Reduced Full-Time (1200 hours, 30–35 hours per week) for a term starting September/October 2026 through August 31, 2027. Placement may occur in any of 11 New Jersey counties. Responsibilities Conduct intake assessments to determine clients’ housing needs. Assist clients in obtaining identification and accessing funds for security deposits, rental fees, or utilities. Help clients apply for housing and create or update lists of available housing options. Maintain relationships with local landlords and employers. Gather and distribute food and clothing donations to clients. Support clients with job searches, resume building, and job applications. Work with clients to achieve housing stabilization skills and goals. Organize life‑skills workshops on budgeting, tenancy, employment, and related topics. Provide information on income sources such as TANF, Medicaid, SSI, and assist with benefit applications or referrals to case managers. Generate informational materials (newsletters, pamphlets) for clients. Connect clients with additional resources and provide follow‑up support services. Program Benefits Modest living allowance up to $15,400 for 1200 service hours. Segal Education Award for educational expenses or student loan repayment. Professional development and networking opportunities. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Age 18–99. Team‑work, public speaking, social services, teaching/tutoring, conflict resolution, and community organization skills.
