Salary: Up to $34 an hour

We are seeking experienced Forepersons and Helpers to join our dynamic Commercial Roofing team at Burns & Scalo Roofing. This role involves overseeing and assisting with roofing projects on commercial sites, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in construction and roofing, with a variety of skills including blueprint reading, heavy lifting, and the use of hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead roofing crews to complete commercial roofing projects safely and efficiently
• Assist with installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate project execution
• Perform heavy lifting of materials such as metal panels, or insulation materials
• Coordinate with project managers and other trades to ensure timely completion of work
• Maintain a clean and organized work site, adhering to safety protocols at all times
• Ensure all work meets quality standards and complies with safety regulations

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction with a focus on roofing or related trades such as carpentry or masonry
• Knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics for construction projects
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and safety equipment used on construction sites
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently over long periods
• Experience working on commercial roofing materials and products
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• Valid experience or certification in roofing techniques preferred but not required
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to safety standards at all times
