About the Opportunity

Our client is an established packaging equipment company launching a new operation in the Atlanta area and is seeking a Facility Operations Supervisor to help build and manage the facility from the ground up.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership.

During the initial startup phase, you may be the primary employee working onsite and will play an important role in establishing how the Atlanta operation functions. You will work closely with leadership in Canada while supporting facility setup, inventory, equipment, vendors, service technicians, and daily operational needs.

As the Atlanta operation grows, the position may expand to include hiring, training, employee supervision, manufacturing support, and broader facility leadership.

What You'll Do

• Help launch, organize, and maintain the new Atlanta facility
• Receive, inspect, organize, and track incoming inventory, equipment, and parts
• Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment as needed
• Maintain accurate and organized inventory and storage areas
• Coordinate vendors, contractors, service providers, deliveries, and facility-related activities
• Assist with equipment, showroom, warehouse, and workspace setup
• Support packaging equipment deliveries and installations
• Work alongside service technicians and technical personnel
• Identify and resolve day-to-day facility and operational problems
• Develop and improve SOPs, workflows, inventory controls, and operating procedures
• Help establish organized, efficient, and scalable processes
• Maintain a clean, safe, professional, and customer-ready facility
• Communicate operational updates, problems, priorities, and needs to leadership in Canada
• Coordinate multiple priorities without requiring constant supervision
• Assist with future hiring, onboarding, training, and supervision as the operation grows

Canada Training Requirement

The selected candidate is expected to spend approximately the first week of employment in Canada .

This training is an important part of the position. You will have the opportunity to observe the company's established Canadian operation, meet leadership and team members, understand existing workflows, and learn how equipment, service, parts, inventory, and facility operations are structured.

You will then help apply the appropriate processes and standards to the developing Atlanta operation.

Candidates must have a valid passport or be willing and realistically able to obtain one quickly and must be fully willing to complete the required Canada training.

Qualifications

Preferred:

• 3+ years of relevant manufacturing, warehouse, facility, plant, industrial, maintenance, logistics, or operations experience
• Previous supervisory or operational leadership experience
• Experience with industrial or technical equipment
• Warehouse, inventory, receiving, shipping, or parts-management experience
• Forklift experience
• Vendor or contractor coordination experience
• SOP/process-development experience
• Experience in a startup, facility launch, expansion, or rapidly changing operation
• Strong computer and operational systems skills

A bachelor's degree is preferred but not required . Relevant hands-on technical and operational experience is more important.
