Aerospace Quality Inspector

Position: Aerospace Quality Inspector Unitek Technical Services offers comprehensive Supplier Management and Development, along with other technical services to corporations globally. Job Overview We are currently seeking an Aerospace Quality Inspector with the ability to perform in-process and final source inspections, including First Article Inspections in accordance with AS9102 Quality Standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of how to read Purchase Orders and engineering drawings and will know how to determine if an FAI has been approved. Key Responsibilities Conduct First Article Inspections and final source inspections following AS9102 standards. Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, and geometric dimensioning and tolerances (GD&T) per ANSI/ASME Y 14.5. Utilize handheld measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers for inspection purposes. Follow a provided checklist for inspection reference. Complete a GE quiz successfully to demonstrate proficiency in required skills. Additional Requirements This is a part-time role with occasional assignments. Willingness to travel and support suppliers within a 150-mile radius of Detroit, MI is expected. Applicants must be U.S. Citizens, as we are unable to provide sponsorship at this time.
