PROPERTY TAX SPECIALIST II - Tax Office

Performs property tax research to solve complex problems associate with most functions in the assessment and collection of ad valorem taxes. Carries out assessment and collection functions associated with property tax billing and payments, delinquent payments, bankruptcy payments, special and rollback calculations and payments, and refunds and tax account research Extensively communicates and interacts with other tax office and appraisal district staff, businesses, title and mortgage companies, and individual taxpayers to perform duties Resolves Tax problems in person or over the phone Researches Tax questions and provides appropriate response Answers questions from clerks Responsible for accurate files and filing Ensures accuracy of funds collected and posting of transactions to accounts Accountable for funds collected Will be required to rotate responsibilities on a routine basis Performs all other related duties as assigned High school diploma or GED and two (2) years of general office or retail experience. Prefer experience with electronic payment processing and knowledge of credit card and e-check processing. Experience with business machines, computers and basic business math is desired. Knowledge of property tax processing is desired. Employees may be required to work at any of the Tax Office locations. While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to stand, sit, lift, stoop, bend, and reach. #J-18808-Ljbffr Tarrant County
