Accounting Assistant

This position will support the day-to-day financial and administrative operations of our hardware store. The ideal candidate is dependable, accurate, comfortable working with numbers, and able to handle confidential information professionally. Key Responsibilities Perform daily data entry and maintain accurate financial records Assist with general ledger entries and account reconciliation Prepare and maintain spreadsheets, reports, and other financial documents Assist with balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other basic financial reporting Work within QuickBooks to enter, organize, and maintain financial information Use Excel to create and manage spreadsheets and reports Maintain organized and accurate records and files Assist with onboarding new employees and related paperwork Handle confidential employee and financial information with discretion Provide general accounting and administrative support as needed Qualifications Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel Experience with data entry, spreadsheets, and general ledger functions Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements, including balance sheets, P&L reports, as well as maintenance of assets and depreciation Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines Previous accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative experience preferred If you are organized, dependable, and enjoy working with numbers and detailed information, we'd love to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr
