Be one of the first to apply — offer rates tend to be higher at this stage Description American Traveler is seeking a Travel RN for a Heart & Vascular Recovery night shift position requiring 2+ years of stepdown/ICU cardiac experience and MO or compact RN licensure. Details Work in an 8-bed Heart and Vascular Recovery unit within a hospital setting Care for pre- and post-procedural cardiac patients including cardiac cath lab, electrophysiology, and vascular patients Patient ratios vary, with days estimated at 1:4-1:5 Uses general monitoring equipment and EKG Charts in EPIC Night shift, 3x12, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM Weekend requirements as needed by facility, approximately every other weekend No on-call requirements Floating required as needed to a similar or lower acuity unit Requirements Active RN license eligible for licensure in Missouri or currently licensed in Missouri BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA required Minimum 2 years of stepdown/ICU cardiac experience required Cardiac rhythm proficiency and ability to identify cardiac emergencies required Experience with TR bands and pulling sheaths preferred Cardiac telemetry, pre/post cardiac care, and cardiac step-down experience preferred No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months Additional Information Provide direct patient care using the nursing process including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for all age groups Maintain professional accountability for patient care and evaluate effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality Flu vaccination or facility-approved exemption required for all travelers from November 1 to April 1, with no declinations accepted Position requires standing and walking most of the shift with bending, stooping, lifting, and turning patients with assistance High risk exposure to blood and body fluids Must be able to push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs., pinch up to 15 lbs., and perform minimal kneeling, crouching, and crawling Black scrubs and closed-toe shoes required Up to 5 days of requested time off allowed but must be made up during the assignment Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are accepted at a reduced bill rate First‑time travelers are welcome to apply These details are based on information provided by the facility and may include inaccuracies or be subject to updates.
