Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Onsite | Includes on-call rotation (one night per week and every fourth weekend; must be available to respond and begin a case within 30 minutes when on call)

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver perioperative nursing care across all surgical phases, including pre-operative preparation, intraoperative care, and PACU recovery
• Function in multiple roles including circulator, scrub nurse, and PACU RN to support safe and efficient surgical operations
• Ensure patient safety and clinical excellence through adherence to AORN standards, accurate documentation, and participation in surgical safety processes such as time-outs
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the interdisciplinary team to deliver coordinated, high-quality patient care
• Participate in on-call rotation, including one night per week and every fourth weekend

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Current Vermont or multi-state RN license required
• Minimum of two years of perioperative nursing experience required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work across multiple perioperative roles

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a critical access or community hospital setting
• Demonstrated versatility across circulator, scrub, and PACU nursing roles
