Product Owner - Finance Record to Report

As a Product Owner, you are responsible for maximizing the value of the product and the work of the Delivery Team by clearly expressing Product Backlog items. You are responsible for ordering the items to best achieve goals and missions. You will calculate, measure and track business value, as well as optimize the value of the work the Development Team performs ensuring that the Product Backlog is visible, transparent, and clear to all. This will show what the Delivery Team will work on next. You will ensure the Delivery Team understands items in the Product Backlog to the level needed.Responsibilities:Record-to-Report (R2R) Systems Architecture: Collaborate with engineering leads to evaluate integrations, accounting transformation rules, and systemic touchpoints across the R2R landscape.End-to-End Financial Pipeline Ownership: Author user stories, manage complex backlogs, and define data validation criteria across productsOracle Cloud Fusion Ledger Mastery: Oversee product capabilities, chart of accounts (COA) mapping, and ledger integrity across Oracle Cloud Fusion GL, Fixed Assets, and AHCS modules.Backoffice Cross-Module Data Mapping: Navigate design dependencies and capabilities and reporting solutions, connecting core financial modules to backoffice platforms including HCM, AP, AR, and Tax.Enterprise Software Configuration & Certification: Maintain technical proficiency in enterprise platforms, with preferred active Oracle Cloud Financials Implementation Professional credentials.Data Analytics & Enterprise Reporting: Assess enterprise reporting design using Power BI and Oracle EPM suites to optimize complex data analysis and pipeline performance.Drive cohesion across the team but focus efforts on the desired features, while ensuring that each team member is able to contribute to the product’s goalsFinance Close IT Orchestration: Act as the dedicated IT point of contact to ensure systems alignment, data integration health, and technical stability during critical period-end close windows.Participate in Agile SDLC activities, including planning, refinement, stand-ups and retrospectives. Provide support to manage iteration planning and refinement of user stories. Spotlight inter-dependencies among cross-product development teams to ensure seamless deliveryCollaborate with other POs, and Product Executives to ensure the vision of the product is being met and that the product backlog is aligned with the program backlogCoordinate closely with the Product Executive to ensure alignment with the Outcome Based Product Roadmap and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs)Serve as a thought leader for a specific business and technology team and assists other leaders with the delegation of work assignmentsSLA Performance & Process Optimization: Monitor production issue backlogs, enforce IT team SLA compliance, and lead technical post-mortems to scale system efficiency and minimize batch runtimesBe “The Ideal Team Member” – Hungry, Humble, and Smart. Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field, or equivalent, relevant work experience required.6 or more years’ experience as a Product Owner with Agile facilitation background, working in an agile environment (e.g. user stories, iterative development, scrum teams, sprints, personas)Ability to write clear precise Scrum user stories for scrum teamsMust have a bias for action and be comfortable in an ever changing or ambiguous environmentStrong knowledge of Agile frameworks such as SAFe or View email address on click.appcast.io Innovation, Design thinking and/or CX/UX experience is a plusAdvanced Agile/ Scrum development backgroundFamiliarity in working in a SaaS environmentPSM/PSPO OR SAFe POPM certifications preferred#LI-JB1#LI-REMOTEThis amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements. For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents.
