Learn more about the general tasks related to this opportunity below, as well as required skills.Senior AccountantRole OverviewWe are seeking a hands-on Sr. Accountant responsible for the accurate maintenance of financial records and execution of monthly close activities across a portfolio of renewable energy project companies.Each project company operates as a standalone revenue-generating asset and requires complete, timely, and accurate financial reportingThe Sr Accountant is responsible for day-to-day accounting execution and ensuring the integrity of project company level financial records across multiple entities.Key ResponsibilitiesCore Accounting Maintain accurate and complete financial records for multiple SPVsRecord journal entries across all standard accounting areas (accruals, deferrals, adjustments, allocations)Financial reporting for lender/tax equity counterpartiesPerform account reconciliations, including cash, balance sheet, revenue, and expense accountsManage quarterly, and year-end close activities across assigned project companiesComplete bank and account reconciliations as part of the close processPrepare supporting schedules for review and reporting purposesManage external audit and tax preparation processes for project companies by providing accurate financial data (no tax responsibility)Support fund level closing, investor reporting and fund auditsAccounts Payable / Receivable (Multi-Entity)Process, code, and record vendor invoices across multiple project companiesEnsure accurate entity-level classification of costs and expensesExecute payment processing and maintain vendor recordsSupport customer billing and receivables tracking where applicableEscalate discrepancies or exceptions to Controller / Assistant Controller team as neededSystems & Process SupportWork within NetSuite, QuickBooks, and/or Sage across multiple entitiesSupport process improvements and standardization initiativesIdentify and escalate process or data integrity issue xhyhwjd QualificationsBachelor's degree in accounting5+ years of accounting experience ideally including:multi-entity accounting environmentsfull-cycle accounting and monthly close executionoperating company or asset-backed business exposureStrong understanding of US GAAP or accrual accounting principlesStrong experience in accounting operations, reconciliations, and AP/ARExperience working across multiple sets of books or entitiesSolid understanding of accrual accounting and financial reporting basicsExperience with ERP systems (NetSuite, QuickBooks, or Sage)Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
