Senior Director of Program Services

Monday - Friday 8:30am-4:30pm (with some flexibility required) Bristol Adult Resource Center (BARC) is a private, non‑profit organization supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are currently seeking a Senior Director for our Residential, Day and Quality Assurance programs. The Senior Director of Program Services (SDPS) works with the Executive Director and management team members as a professional liaison between the agency, individuals, families, membership, and the public/private agencies served by the non‑profit. The SDPS assumes the functions of the Executive Director in their absence. Job Type Full‑time Requirements Bachelor's degree preferred in related fields such as health, education, welfare, business, hospital administration or special education. At least four years of experience in one of the following or related fields: education, social work, sociology, vocational, residential rehabilitation, developmental disabilities. At least five years of supervisory and management experience. Experience in not‑for‑profit agencies a nice to have. Accounting and financial experience. Experience in human resources, community organization, public relations, program implementation/planning and fundraising. Maintain work relationships among all levels of the organization, individuals served, families, and other providers or services in a professional manner. Provide safe and nurturing environment where individuals are treated with dignity and respect, can exercise their rights and responsibilities and are protected from abuse or neglect. Obtain and maintain all required certifications and trainings (in person and online). Willing and able to complete all essential responsibilities and other duties as assigned. Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and reliable transportation. Skills Organized with excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines. Excellent organizational and people skills. Ability to work both independently and with team members. Strong oral, written and listening skills. Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills. Proficient knowledge of technology and willingness to learn.
