Job Description Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) – Support the operations of a BioLife Plasma Collection Center under the guidance of the Center Manager and Center Physician. The role includes donor eligibility assessment, management of donor adverse events, laboratory result review, and donor notifications. About the Role Daily responsibilities include: Determine donor eligibility and manage informed consent, medical history, and physical examinations. Perform blood testing and review Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE) results. Identify and manage donor reactions, following SOPs for medical emergencies and developing Center Physician standing orders. Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical or technical issues. Support hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees. Manage employee incidents and coordinate with occupational health/ER as needed. Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations of pandemic threats. What You Bring High school diploma or equivalent, including completion of a state‑recognised nursing program. Current state licence or certification: LPN or LVN. Current CPR and AED certification. Fulfil state requirements for basic IV therapy. Complete FDA‑approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. At least two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
