Shipping Clerk

Job Description

The Shipping Clerk plays a crucial role within our warehouse and manufacturing facility environments, overseeing the efficient processing and dispatch of shipments. This position involves coordinating shipping activities, managing inventory, and ensuring all orders are accurately processed and documented. The role requires occasional physical handling of packages and the use of Warehouse Management Systems and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, with no direct customer interaction.

Responsibilities

Coordinate shipping activities to ensure timely dispatch
Manage and track inventory using inventory management systems
Process orders and generate accurate shipping documentation
Label packages correctly for shipment
Monitor logistics and track shipments until delivery
Perform quality control checks on outgoing shipments
Enter and update shipping data accurately in ERP and warehouse systems
Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and company policies

Preferred Qualifications

2+ years experience in shipping and receiving
High school diploma or equivalent
Familiarity with inventory management systems and shipping software
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Effective time management and problem-solving abilities
Good communication skills
