Details General Emergency Department serving combined adult and pediatric patients ranging from infants to geriatrics 46-bed unit with an average daily census of 135 patients and a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio Night shift schedule of 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00 14-week assignment length Uses Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR communication systems Required to work every other weekend unless otherwise specified Floating may be required to a sister campus location No on-call requirements Requirements Active GA or Compact RN license required Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience required Prior travel nursing experience required, first-time travelers will not be considered Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS NIHSS certification preferred Any charting system experience accepted Skilled in respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP management and care of ventilated patients Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central line care/management required Experience with cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation/management required Experience with IV vasopressor administration required Proficient in isolation precautions/PPE and triage protocols Additional Information Provide emergency care to a diverse patient population including cardiac monitoring and emergency response Navy blue scrubs required Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, and all RTO must be finalized at time of submission No RTO requests permitted during orientation week or after offer/onsite Holiday coverage required per facility policy: if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment, no holiday RTO can be requested; if three major holidays fall within the assignment, one holiday RTO request may be considered Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day Local candidates accepted at the same rate Former perm, per diem, or FCSS employees must be separated from all facilities within the health system for one full year before applying as a traveler Returning travelers who were previously unable to complete an assignment at a facility must complete one successful assignment elsewhere before rebooking Shift and contract length are firm with no alternate schedule requests permitted Full compliance required to start on time American Traveler Job ID P-745336.
