Client Overview: Vernovis is partnering with a growing Cincinnati-based organization seeking an experienced Interim Controller to support day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and team leadership during a transitional period. Job Title: Interim Controller Location / Work Structure: Cincinnati, OH – Onsite What You’ll Do Lead month-end close, financial reporting, and general ledger activities Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and financial statements Oversee accounting operations, internal controls, and compliance processes Manage and support accounting staff across multiple business entities Coordinate audit support and partner with external auditors Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Maintain fixed assets, tax filings, and ERP-related accounting processes What Experience You’ll Have Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 5+ years of Controller or senior-level accounting experience Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting processes Prior experience leading or supervising accounting teams Advanced Excel and ERP system experience Nice to Have CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred Manufacturing or distribution industry experience Multi-entity accounting background preferred Benefits Health, Dental, Vision, Voluntary Short & Long-Term Disability, Voluntary Life Insurance, and 401K.
