Clinical Laboratory Supervisor

Clinical Laboratory Supervisor role overseeing daily lab operations and staff management at Foresight Diagnostics (Natera), a molecular diagnostics company focused on cell-free DNA-based cancer detection. Reports to management and ensures compliance with CLIA/CAP guidelines while maintaining production goals and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily staffing, scheduling, and sample run coordination for lab team
• Monitor staff adherence to SOPs, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Document nonconformances, initiate corrective actions, and track CAPAs with manager
• Conduct staff training, performance reviews, and manage employee relations issues
• Lead shift meetings and maintain team morale while modeling professional conduct

Requirements

• Experience supervising laboratory staff in clinical or diagnostic settings
• Knowledge of CLIA and CAP regulatory requirements and compliance
• Familiarity with standard operating procedures and laboratory quality systems
• Strong performance management and employee coaching skills
• Experience documenting nonconformances and corrective action procedures
• Ability to troubleshoot laboratory processes and escalate issues appropriately
