Position Details Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 40 hrs per week (8‑hour shifts) Shift: Days Employment Type: Travel Physical Therapist (PT) Location Facility in El Reno, Oklahoma Qualifications Required: Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) Preferred: Doctorate degree in physical therapy Physical Therapy experience (New Grads welcome) Other certifications or licenses may be required Job Summary The Physical Therapist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients with physical impairments to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. They develop personalized, evidence‑based treatment plans using exercise and manual therapy. Essential Work Functions Evaluate patients’ conditions using tests, examinations, and history to identify limitations and treatment needs. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implement therapy plans using various techniques to improve mobility and reduce pain. Operate physical therapy equipment and modalities safely; maintain and calibrate devices. Assess progress, adjust plans, and document evaluations, interventions, outcomes. Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other professionals. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise, body mechanics, injury prevention. Maintain a safe treatment environment; adhere to infection control and safety protocols. Participate in quality assurance initiatives and professional development. Contribute to discharge planning for smooth transitions. Perform duties assigned within scope of practice. Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, interpersonal communication. Reading, writing, verbal comprehension in English. Computer (PC) skills. Physical, Interpersonal & Technical Abilities Physical: Ability to remain stationary, move equipment 50‑100 lbs, push, pull, bend. Interpersonal: Work effectively with diverse personnel; positive attitude and professionalism. Technical/Motor: Fine manipulation, assist with procedures, operate equipment. Mental: Handle frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work under supervision or independently, adapt to irregular schedules. Sensory: Visual acuity and effective communication.
