Recreation Aide
Majestic Oaks nursing and Rehabilitation is a 180-bed skilled nursing center with both long term and sub-acute patients. The facility has a great team of nurses and activity aides which get plenty of guidance and education from a superior nursing support team with well qualified nurse educators. Ideal Recreation Aide candidate should have experience in long term care environment, be energetic and caring.
Responsibilities:
Assists in providing a program of activities that meets the interest and the physical, mental and psychosocial well-being and safety of each resident
Provides individualized attention, including those with dementia, which encourages each resident's ability, including one on one visits as scheduled
Design, plan and prepare various activity programs using your own skills and areas of specialty
Generate activity supply lists and maintain supplies and equipment in a safe and functional order
Consistently maintain proper documentation including daily attendance sheets and friendly visits
Applicants must be positive, motivated, dependable, and a team player.
Qualifications:
Must work every other weekend and every other holiday
Available to work days, some evenings and some weekends
