Job Summary:
This Surgical Technician / Operating Room Technician position is located in the OR department. The role involves selecting and arranging surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment during surgical procedures. The technician will assist in maintaining sterile technique, anticipate the surgeon's needs, and support OR turnover activities to ensure smooth operations.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 10-hour shifts, with a minimum of 40 hours per week, starting on 10/05/2026 and ending on 01/02/2027.
• Required Qualifications: High school diploma or GED, current basic life support certification, and no minimum years of experience required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Graduation from a certified school of surgical technology or two years of operating room experience, and additional related education or experience are preferred.
• Additional Information: The position entails standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, and stretching frequently in a direct patient care environment. Must possess physical agility and reaction time, with the ability to lift up to 75 pounds if necessary. Use of standard precautions is mandatory due to potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids. Good communication skills are essential, along with the ability to respond quickly to emergent situations.
