CT Scan Technologist in the Palm Springs, CA area! 

Shifts:

\n
• 10 or 12 hour shifts. Nights. Added shift differential. 
\n

Education:

\n
• Required: Graduate of a Radiologic Technology Training Program approved by the American Medical Association or equivalent training.
\n
• Required: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) CT certification; California Radiologic Technologist (CRT); American Heart Association BLS
\n
• Preferred: Fluoroscopy permit
\n
• Preferred: Experience as a Radiologic Technologist or CT Technologist
\n

Overview:

\n
• \n

  \n Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and reports suspected violations.\n

\n
• \n

  \n Follows ALARA guideline and uses Universal Precautions in all situations\n

\n
• \n

  \n Utilizes proper radiation protection to protect patient and all persons present from excessive radiation.\n

\n
• \n

  \n Obtains appropriate medical history before patient examination and prepares patient for exam.\n

\n
• \n

  \n Documents any changes in patient condition using appropriate forms and contacting Radiology RN or appropriate person when necessary.\n

\n
• \n

  \n Keeps patient informed of exam procedures, any delays, and allows patient to ask questions regarding the procedure.\n

\n
• \n

  \n Prioritizes stat procedures and organizes patient flow.\n

\n
• \n

  \n Communicates with Emergency Department Physicians and Staff on patient exams, delays, concerns and care.\n

\n
• \n

  \n Performs CT procedures of highest technical quality.\n

\n
• \n

  \n Performs appropriate procedures as ordered and assists Radiologist who is performing procedure.\n

\n
• \n

  \n Efficiently uses of all CT equipment and reports all deficiencies to immediate supervisor.\n

\n
• \n

  \n Efficiently documents procedures in PACS and patient chart and utilizes required forms and billing procedures.\n

\n
• \n

  \n Prioritizes procedures and utilizes time wisely to complete daily workload within scheduled shift.\n

\n
• \n

  \n Assists in other areas of the CT department, as needed.\n

\n
• \n

  \n Flexible in working additional shifts and/or different shifts, as needed.\n

\n
• \n

  \n Maintains cleanliness of CT rooms and surrounding area.\n

\n
• \n

  \n Checks supplies and stocks CT rooms, as necessary, reporting any deficiencies.\n

\n
• \n

  \n Performs other duties as assigned\n

\n

Pay Range: Salary Range $45.20-$68.33/Hourly
