Location: Birmingham, AL

Position Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $80,000 - $110,000

 

The Role

We are seeking a talented and critical-thinking Supervising Senior Accountant to join our expanding audit practice-one of the fastest-growing areas of our firm. Key Responsibilities

• Engagement Execution: Meet and exceed client expectations through the diligent execution of activities related to audit and assurance engagements.

• Workflow Coordination: Communicate effectively with Directors and Managers throughout all phases of engagements, including client onboarding, strategic planning, and scheduling.

• Deadline Management: Maintain a strong sense of urgency to complete work in an accurate, thorough manner while hitting both internal and client deadlines.

• Team Collaboration: Partner effectively with co-workers, staff, and clients to ensure smooth field work and a cohesive team approach.

 

Requirements

• Experience: 5-7 years of public accounting experience, specifically within financial statement audits and assurance.

• Education & Credentials: BA or BS degree in Accounting or a related field from an accredited college/university; active CPA License required.

• Skills: Strong analytical, observation, and time management skills. High proficiency with accounting software packages and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

• Attributes: Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills combined with good professional judgment and skepticism.
