From hand-held tablet devices to Las Vegas style gaming cabinets, our array of products is diverse and advanced. Interface with Game/System Development and other Product Development staff to resolve issues in a timely manner. Also responsible for having proficient understanding of the software test methodologies and procedures in order to ensure testing efficiency and high level of quality. Will participate in mentoring Associate SQA Engineers. Organize and lead inter-departmental project meetings.Salary range commensurate with experience. This role provides competitive benefits including an annual performance bonus, profit sharing program, and a 401K with company match.Primary Roles And ResponsibilitiesDevelop, hold reviews, and execute test plans and test scripts for new and existing game themes and systemsFollow all the SQA Work Instructions dailySubmit and track any product issues found during testing to ensure that they are resolvedLead software defect scrub meetings and SQA Milestone hand-off meetings with DevelopmentUtilize all required databases for SQA functions and testingProvide input to the weekly project status report for each assigned projectProvide detailed Completion Report at the end of each projectProvide input during root cause analysis phaseInterface with other members of Product Development to effectively communicate and resolve all reported issues in a timely manner before the gaming product is releasedProficient understanding of software test methodologies/procedures and the overall product development lifecycleReproduce issues, when necessary, in order to assist software development in resolving issuesResponsible for project escalations for each assigned projectOther Duties And ResponsibilitiesAssist the SQA Department on special projectsIntroduce process improvement initiativesEstablish key contacts with upstream organizations that have a direct impact on SQAMentor new Associate SQA Engineers on assigned projectsRequirementsExperience And EducationBachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science preferred3 - 5 years of relevant SQA work experienceAcademic and/or working knowledge of Visual StudioAcademic and/or working experience with C and/or C++Academic and/or proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookBasic knowledge of the gaming industryPreferred SkillsWorking knowledge of computer operation and principles of computer hardwareWorking knowledge or experience with TestRailsWorking knowledge or experience with the JIRA Defect Management toolWorking knowledge of real-time embedded systemsWorking knowledge of Agile methodologiesKnowledge or experience with Perl or other shell scripting languages a plusExcellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to communicate and collaborate with other team membersAbility to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environmentDetail-oriented and organizedCapable of providing input and potential solutions to identified issuesAbility to work with limited supervisionPhysical Demands/Working Conditions:Vision:Close visionDepth perceptionAbility to adjust focusPeripheral visionAbility to distinguish colorsPhysical Requirements:Stand for long periods of timeExtensive time in front of LCD's and Electronic Gaming Machine screensRepetitive motion to open heavy Electronic Gaming Machine doorsWork Conditions:The ability to move between projects with little notice and the ability to adapt quicklyOvertime and weekend hours may be required to meet project schedulesLimited travel may be requiredThe physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
